Welcome to Mahkamah Mut IIUM!
You have reached the homepage of Mahkamah Mut IIUM, a mock court created by the Course Coordinator for Civil Procedure II (LAW 4211), Dr Shahrul Mizan Ismail, for the purpose of training IIUM final year law students to conduct and manage their mock cases.
One of the main purposes of creating this website is to facilitate students (referring especially to those who are taking the course this semester) in filing their cause papers into court. This is following the actual practice in most courts today where documents are filed online through the court's e-filing system (as opposed to manual filing at the court's counter as before). Apart from that, the webpage also provides other relevant information related to their course activities and exercises such as hearing schedule, litigation training programmes and advocacy tips.

Mahkamah Mut IIUM E-Filing System
Electronic court filing (ECF), also known as e-filing, is the automatic, electronic transmission, and storage of legal records or documents. The submission of documents and records can be made by one of the following individuals or groups:

A legal party,

A law firm/ lawyer, OR
-
A self-represented litigant to a court
The storage of records and documents can be made in one of the following ways:

To a legal court,

From a court to a law firm/ lawyer
Electronic filing, or the migration of the court record from a paper to an electronic format, enables lawyers and other users to submit documents into the court e-filing system.
